"The project was made over a very strange period experiencing brain fog-like symptoms like lack of mental clarity, confusion, fatigue, concentration and memory issues. During this time I wrote down every silly thought that somehow carved through the thick layer of slug blocking my brain and tried to turn them into songs. At the end this total aimlessness that described this time period reflects back from the tracks but also ties them all together."
host/migration: "i lost connection to the host and was stuck in a constant loading screen"
rockbreath: "goromon + saw a video about the lava rock coastline of maui"
smiley bomb: “rather grotesque nature of tricking our brain into releasing endorphins by forced smiling”
terminally online: “brain-eating mechanical worms that get their strength from screen lights”
mohaszemhéj: “how nice it would feel to cover my tired eyes with soft moss”
"asvanyviz2’s music is symptomatic of the digital/online music cultures that lurk in the black waters of Soundcloud profiles and NYP Bandcamp uploads: tough genreless beats break the surface of emotional maturity and instability, launching from hybrid-club workouts to ambient gabber with dashes of breakcore percussion littering the background. Their EP for Exiles is built out of a period of intense brain fog (hence the title), where the artist forged every rare and abstract thought breaking through the mire into the five-tracker." - Freddie Hudson (Inverted Audio)
